design There are beautiful and graceful designs in the history of modern Japan. We have focused on the Meiji era (1868-1912) for the series, and were inspired by the woodblock pictures of the period. The subtle designs match the special hand made cotton paper. |

material Western paper making style x Japanese washi craftsman
Itfs an innovative paper which is used nowhere else in the world. This hand made cotton paper was produced by a Japanese washi paper craftsman.
The techniques of Western and Japanese paper-making are totally different. To produce this beautiful paper, we asked a Japanese washi paper craftsman to make it using Western techniques.
We held many tests for two years with the craftsman to produce the paper, and finally this hand-made paper was born. |

letterpress printing The letterpress printing method, using a high pressure to make uneven-textured cards, has developed a world-wide trend.
However, in Japan, it has been said for a long time that printing with a low pressure is the most beautiful technique of the letterpress. Since the series 610 has Japanese vintage designs, we dare to carefully set the machine at low pressure with care. Please feel the vintage technique of the letterpress. |
